I remember when he died and how i thought ' ahhhhhhh' I also thought...'how is this slot on radio ever gonna be replaced? ' and to be fair the question still remains.

Ive had little fixations with several broadcasters since Mary anne Hobbs, Giles Peterson to name two but its never lasted long as no one has ever before or after played such a wide selection of music on one show, from jah Cure to God speed and from music offa dub plates to music from the 20's recorded on the first ever recording equipment... i cant tell you the influence this gezzer had on my life and musical tastes ...

so ima stop gushing about the one and only and say GO FIND OUT!!! of course there is many who already know, so a knowing wink will do ;) catch u at show 340 somewhere .....

Constantine Manos was born in 1934 in South Carolina to Greek immigrant parents. He went on to attend the University of South Carolina, from which he graduated in 1955. Joining Magnum Photos in 1963, he then became a full Member in 1965. This video, produced in partnership with Magnum, is a personal documentary of Manos’ wide-ranging subjects – from desegregation in the American South to life in Greece and his later work throughout America which he shot in color. One thing has remained constant throughout his career, it’s been Costa and his Leica rangefinder.

Lightbombing was a new phrase introduced to me by the super saturated world of Instagram and it made sense ... like graff bombing but with light. Lets face it its nothing we all haven't done before with a sparkler on bonfire night but this guy ( Peter Medlicott ) know as Sola really has perfected it and taken it to levels you or I would never have dreamt of. With commissions taking him around the world Sola really does light up the imagination with the landscapes he paints as much as what he paints... ohh and yeah he's from Birmingham
