Biography

Son of an artist, I was always surrounded by paints, canvas and brushes. I studied graphic design, worked in some studios and today I am a freelance artist. My work moves through different styles, and goes beyond the visual arts, like science fiction, alchemy and psychedelic rock of the 70s.

Hieronymus Bosch, Anselm Kiefer, Collin de Plancy, alchemical symbols, '70s rock, science fiction, collective unconscious.

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of the Swiss graffiti legend Sigi von Koeding aka Dare. We’ve been told that Dare died at the hospital in Basel, Switzerland the evening of March 6th 2010.

Sigi von Koeding lost his life in a battle with cancer. He will be fondly remembered and missed by his family, friends and many fans around the world.

Unbeliveable amazing harrowing.......

Back in June last year we posted up a picture we had seen on another blog of a south African guy in half traditional dress half western throwback items, on the biggest chain you have ever seen he had a huge hyena tethered as your average badboy would have a pitbull...it echoed gangsta but in way no intentional rudebwoy wanting to look tuff could. That was a intensely moving image and here and there other similar pictures have pop'ed up so over Christmas we had a little rummage and found Pieter Hugo.

Not alot is known about Pieter apart from he is a white south African photographer who is hell bent on exposing the pain and suffering off Africa along with the interesting and bizarre. Bare rugged litter strewn landscapes, reality and bizarre seem to be the main themes along with some more harrowing subjects tackled beautifully by this master of the lens..
